Who are you?
Confronting the unknown.
Lisa's POVThe man in front of me was attractive, with a strong jawline, intense eyes, and an air of confidence. His hair was well-kept, and his lips were full and inviting. He had an unknown aura that intrigued me, unlike my boyfriend David. The unknown aura kept enticing me to embrace him. But his rude behavior was intolerable."Are you stupid or what? Can't you hear me?" he growled at me again, pulling me out of my thoughts. "You disgust me, woman. How dare you look at me with that lustful eye?"I shrank back, trying to ignore the anger in his voice. "Are you deaf?" he asked. Even if he was attractive, I would not tolerate his bad behavior."Who are you? Do you think of yourself as a god or what? How dare you curse this queen?" I scowled. "Are you sick?""What?! How dare you!" he screeched."What?" I spat angrily. "Are you okay?"Before I knew what was happening, he attacked me. "What?" I gasped for air as he grabbed my neck and began squeezing the life out of me."How dare you show me this kind of nasty attitude? Do you know who I am?" he roared."I don't want to know who you are," I said as he tightly held my neck. He was going to kill me. How did I come across this sick person? What should I do?"My king," I heard someone call him. "Please don't do this." He fixed his gaze on me. This man in front of me is deadly and dangerous. He flung me to the ground. I coughed while holding my neck. What the hell just happened to me? Did I just escape death?"You should consider yourself lucky, girl. I'll pardon you today, but the next time you come across me and mess with me, it will be your last day on earth," he warned. "Do you understand? Now scram!"He glared at me before walking past me. He's an imminent danger, but I wasn't going to give up. I wasn't weak, and I'd never lower my head in front of anyone.I got up and grabbed him before he could respond. I smacked him in the face. His face was bloodied, and his eyes were wide with surprise. He glanced at me. His eyes were filled with rage and venom."You!" He seemed shocked. "How dare you do this to me?"I was scared, but I wouldn't back down. He raised his hand to hit me, but I was shocked when I said something impossible."Mate," I howled."What?" he cried out. His hand was still hanging in the air. "What do you say? Tell me, who the hell is your mate?" I was shocked. What did I just say? Mate? What is that?"Tell me, young lady, who is your mate?" He spat, looking at me with hatred. He grabbed my hand tightly, demanding an answer from me."I don't know," I muttered. I was as confused as him."You don't know, right?" He snickered. "Is that why you are flirting with me?" I felt my cheeks flush, and I quickly looked away."No, that's not why," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
"You know who I am from the beginning," he said. I was confused. I didn't know who he was or what he was talking about. "You know you are my mate. You wanted to seduce me by pretending to fall. What a foolish move."
"I don't." Why am I behaving like this? I hated that I was getting weak in front of this rude and arrogant man."I hate people who tell lies," he grumbled, grabbing my face. "You lowly woman."I pushed his hand away before glancing at him. "Don't you say that again, bastard. An arrogant being like you deserves to be put behind bars.""Hahahaha," he laughed. "Jail? You mean you want to imprison this king?"I should leave. I don't know what this hateful guy might do to me if I stay too long. I don't know who he is; he might be a powerful person that the police wouldn't be able to handle. They might turn against me if I try to arrest him.He is cruel. I should stay far away from him. I turned to take my leave, but he grabbed me, stopping me in my tracks."Where do you think you're going?" he demanded."Let go of me," I warned."I should let go of you after the insult," he mumbled."I don't remember insulting you," I responded. "Let me go at once or else.""Or else what, mate? You're gonna kiss me, right?""Let me go." All I wanted to do was stay away from this man."I won't. Not after the insult from you. You hit my precious face, and you think I am going to let you go after all that?""My king. It's getting late. We need to leave." The voice spoke again. I looked in the direction where the voice came from. He was a nice-looking guy, and he had a gentle aura around him, unlike this monster in front of me."What?" He smirked. "Do you like what you see?" the psycho man asked. "Are you trying to hit on him as well?" He pointed to the man who was watching him display his absurdity. "My beta.""My king." The man spoke out."Do you like what you see as well?" The arrogant man asked again. "I mean her?" He turned and questioned the guy."No sir. I don't dare.""Hehehe," he smirked. Really? I'm thinking of gifting her to you. What do you think, Beta?""What?" I opened my eyes in shock. I had never been insulted like this in my life. Thinking of gifting me to someone as if I were some toy."Are you crazy?" I screeched. I was furious. My blood boiled. I gathered all my strength and hit him hard on his chest. "Do you think I am a toy? I have had enough of your insults, you arrogant bastard."I moved to where he was before landing another blow. "Do not look down on me." I grabbed his face.I looked straight into his eyes. "I won't tolerate you. Next time you mess with me, I will show you the stuff I am made of." I straightened up, brushed my hair, and walked out on him."How dare you treat me like this?" I could hear him yelling and screaming. What a bad day. Why did I come here in the first place?"Lisa, where have you been?" Janet inquired. "I have been looking for you."
"I'm here now." I smiled gently, trying to disguise what had happened."We need to get going," she uttered. "Your mother will be worried about us.""Sure. I'm coming. I will be right back.""Where are you going?" Janet inquired."I need to calm down. I need to get some drinks." I was still angry, but I wouldn't let that get to me.I ordered the strongest drink. I drank it all at once before hitting the dance floor. I started dancing, leaving my worries behind. I looked back. I could feel a hot gaze on my body. I needed to leave this hell."Janet," I called her. "We need to leave."After making sure we were not followed, I asked her to drive."See you tomorrow, Jane. Drive safely." After bidding each other goodbye, Janet drove off. I looked around.I could still feel the burning gaze that I had felt in the club. It was impossible. I had made sure no one was following us. I guess I had drunk too much and started imagining things. I opened the door and walked in."You're back, child.""Yes, mother." I knew she would be waiting for me."Mother," I held her. "You need to rest. You should go get some rest." I led her to her room before putting her to bed. I kissed her on her forehead before leaving."Sweet dreams, mother."I walked back into my room after putting her to bed. I kept wondering who that man was, but he never left my mind. I lay down in bed and felt my heart pound. I closed my eyes, trying to get some sleep, but my mind was racing. Who was that man, and why was I so afraid?I wished someone could tell me what was happening around me. Everything seemed strange. I felt uneasy. I couldn't sleep. I glanced through the window and saw the woods. Without hesitating, I walked out and headed into the woods. This was where I usually found my peace. I walked deeper and deeper."Who is there?" I felt someone's gaze on my skin. Someone was here. The moonlit night cast eerie shadows as I sprinted through the dense woods. My breath came in ragged gasps, and my heart raced with fear. I had no idea who or what was pursuing me, but the feeling of being watched lingered, sending shivers down my spine.Let go of me.Mate's ResistanceKing Alex's POVI can't believe what just happened. I had never experienced being treated this way before. A human woman slapped and threatened me. Was it because she was my mate that she was able to slap me? I had been searching for my mate, but now I had lost her."My king, we need to go back," Marcus said."Do you see what happens now, Marcus?" I asked. "That girl claims she is my mate.""Claim? She's your mate, my king?" I stared at him."Stop saying nonsense, Marcus," I warned. "She isn't my mate. Maria is. She will be my queen after that girl gives birth to my child.""Sir, but she is your fated mate," Marcus uttered. What is wrong with him? Was he trying to talk in favor of her because she was my mate?"She should be your queen, not Maria, sir." This was the first time he had talked this long with me. If not for the fact that she was still useful to me, I would have killed her."She has no qualities of a queen," I spat. "She is not capable of lead
Defying Destiny Knowing My Identity Lisa's POV I couldn't shake off what happened yesterday. I was frightened and couldn't sleep. I tossed and turned all night, unable to calm my racing thoughts. "Lisa, why aren't you up yet?" My mother asked. "Aren't you going to work?" I opened my eyes to find my mother in my room. "Mother, what's wrong?" I questioned. "Are you not going to work?" she asked. "Oh, my goodness!" I stood up and dashed into the bathroom. I'd overslept and would be late for work. I quickly showered and changed into my clothes. "Lisa," mom called. "Mum, I need to go." I grabbed my car keys and drove off. I parked my car and ran inside the company. "Good morning, Janet," I greeted her. "Is the boss around?" "Not yet. Good morning," she replied. I sighed. I felt relaxed. I sat down and began doing my work. "Good morning, sir." Janet stood up and greeted him. I stood up. "Good morning, sir." "Come and see me right now in my office," he shouted, glaring at me. I
The King's DemandWhat Are You Doing Here? Child Breeding Machine.Lisa's POV"You... what are you doing here?" I asked. I was shocked to see him at my house. This unpleasant and egotistical person had no business being here. "What are you doing here?" I asked again, my voice rising in anger. He took a step closer to me, his eyes narrowing. Was he here because I hit him?"I guess you don't know who I am yet," he stated. "My name..." Before he could finish his statement, I cut him off."Why should I be interested in knowing who you are?" I grinned. "A jerk like you." It was my turn to do whatever I pleased. After all, he came here looking for me. It's payback time."Lisa," my mother called me. I turned to face her. "Do you know him?""Yes, mother," I replied. "He's just a scumbag, lowlife guy that I met at the club. He's a rude jerk.""Haha!" He laughed out loud. "A lowlife? Interesting.""Like, seriously," I sneered. "Are you mocking me?""You don't know who you're planning to kill yet
Confronting the BeastYou made the right choice.Lisa's POV"Good," he said as he shoved my mother to the ground and wrapped his hand around my waist. He pulled me close and whispered in my ear, "You're gonna be a good girl for me, aren't you?" I shuddered and nodded, my voice trembling in fear.I wanted to puke, but I couldn't bring myself to show this monster in front of me how disgusting he was. He came to drag me to hell, and he succeeded in doing so."Mother, are you okay?" I asked."You don't have to worry about that right now, mate," he muttered. "All you have to do is concentrate on me rather than on her.""You…" He kissed me before I could finish what I was saying. He forced a kiss on my lips."Let me go!" I screamed at him."If I were you, I would be on my best behavior," he whispered in my ear, licking my earlobe."I'm sorry," I apologized. This was the first time someone had successfully threatened me."You should look at me whenever you're talking to me," he stated. What e
Back to the pack.Bound by ChainsLisa's POVHe forcefully penetrated me with his fingers, causing me to cry out in pain. I was helpless, unable to do anything but scream and cry."Shut up!" He exclaimed."Please."Finally, he released me after he was satisfied."I hope you've learned your lesson. Always remember who you belong to, mate," he scoffed as I sobbed. Why was this happening to me? Why? I blamed myself for going to the club. If I had known this could happen, I wouldn't have left with her."Clean her up," he ordered, and my mother tearfully complied. I wondered if my father would have stood up for me if he had been alive. After she was done, she dressed me."I'm sorry, child," she whispered. "I could only stand by and watch."I could see guilt in her eyes. She wasn't at fault. I pulled her into a hug."You should stop this. I'm not interested in watching you display your love. You should go pack your clothes. We're leaving now," he commanded."To where?" I asked."To my pack,"
Bound in pain. Lisa's POV "Please, don't hurt her," she pleaded. "I want you to spare her life for my sake." When she said this, he was about to hit me. He turned around and looked her in the eyes. "Maria, are you hurt?" he asked while I groaned and moaned in pain. "I'm not, Alex," she answered back. "She must be hurting a lot. You should go check on her." "I don't give a damn about her," he yelled. "You're wrong, Alex. She's your mate no matter what," she uttered. "You don't have to hurt her for my sake." "What? Even if she is my mate, no one is as important as you," he declared. "She is only here to give birth to my child." I stood there, watching as he drew her into an embrace. "Our child. That is her sole reason for being here, not to disrespect you." I was in pain. When will my pain be over? She hugged him back and then faced me. I knew it. She was faking her friendliness. She smirked at me secretly. I stayed silent, not wanting to go through another beating. "I know you
Bearing the weight of rejection Lisa’s POV Meeting Anita was always a good thing. She made me so happy that I didn’t think about anything else. She was my closest companion. “I will be leaving to see my mother, Linda,” I announced. “Isn’t that too early, ma’am?” Linda asked. “No,” I replied, opening the door. “I’ll be right back.” As I left the room to see my mother, I encountered my enemy. “Isn’t this the king’s mate?” she sneered. I ignored her and walked past. “Stop right there,” she demanded, grabbing my arm. “Are you deaf?” She yelled and dragged me back. “I ask you to stop.” I folded my arms and grinned as her bitchy look amused me. “Who are you to stop me?” “I am his true mate and queen. You’re just a breeding machine,” she mocked. “You should respect me because I’m his queen.” “Really? A queen who is unable to bear his child?” I retorted, my voice thick with contempt. I smiled, enjoying my own cruelty. All of her blood drained from her face. She looked at me in dis
Confrontation and rejectionKing Alexander’s POV I despised how she made Maria feel uncomfortable and detested seeing her everywhere. Without Maria, I would not have allowed her to dine with me. “Alex, what are you thinking about?” Maria asked me. I sighed and turned around to face her.“Maria, how are you?” “I’m good, Alex, much better than yesterday,” she said, smiling. “So, can you tell me what you are thinking about?” “It’s nothing serious,” I replied. “I know you’re thinking about her.” “About who?” I asked. “Your mate. I kind of like her. I want her to be my friend.” What would I be able to do without her? She was rare, kind, and loved taking care of others. “I’m not thinking about her, and I don’t get why you want to be friends with someone like her. She is a crazy one.” “Stop talking like that.” I loved Maria. I had always loved her, just as Keen, my wolf, loved her. We both loved and cared about her, and we never wanted our mate. We didn’t even look for her, but the
